I'm not okay

Another day spent in bed. I have been very adamant about trying to stay awake though. Absolutely no napping. Other wise I won't be able to sleep tonight! Those of you with FMS will no why that is so important. My Husband and two brother in laws and good friend are finishing up the irrigation system on our property. We are going to put some drought resistant grass in the parking strip, and xerascape the rest of the grounds using indigenous plants. We are trying to be as gentile to the planet as possible. Now when people look at our home they will believe that someone actually lives here! It will be so nice to actually be able to enjoy our garden. Anyway, I have taken all of the medication that I can. But I still am in such pain. If only I had my own private masseuse.

I'm Not Alright

Today started out a good one. My hunny and I woke up earlier then our kids which is a very rare occurrence. He brought me some freshly pressed coffee in bed! What a nice man! From here on out, things go bad. After having been awake for about 1.5 hours my mind startted to get foggy. Thats when I know I need to start preparing for a long, miserable, day in bed. I am so tired of spending time like this! My kids are home from school for a long Memorial Day weekend. My husband has taken the day off and my brother in law is here to help design and install our irrigation system. And now my FMS has, yet again, dealt me out of the equation. So here I am, in and out of sleep all day. It's already almost 5:30 pm. I really am tyring to get used to this FMS. But so far I only seem to feel either angry, sad or despondent. Oh well. Shall I just chalk it up to experience? Anyway the guys have been working really hard in the yard. You should see them working with that "ditch witch". That thing is bigger then the two of them put together! There... now I'm smiling!

WIP

Awhile ago a good friend of mine gave me some very precious hand spun yarn from one of her trips to Peru. I have been biding my time waiting for the right recipe to show itself to me so that I can create some sort of lacy shawl for her out of some of that yarn. I have decided to use the Print O' The Wave Stole from See Eunny Knit! (one of my favorite blogs) This is my very first attempt at creating lace! Wee! I have already frogged the piece twice and I have started over once. But I am staying optimistic because it will be so beautiful when I have at long last completed it. When I have finished enough of it, I will post a photo so you can see my progress.

My First Entry

Hi! My name is Jenni.

I love to create things using either fiber or clay. Mainly I either knit or create pottery. Also I suffer with FMS or Fibromyalgia (chronic muscular pain) which takes up a great deal of my time.

Despite my FMS I am generally a very happy person. I love to spend time out of doors, especially up in the Uintah Mountain range. There is something about the mountains that seems to recharge my body and soul. Wherever I go I usually have a couple of knitting needles in my hand and either a wince or a smile on my face. Creating pottery is also very important to me. There is just something about the feel of the clay and the hum of the wheel that whorls me into a world of my own.

Here on this blog site I will write about the things that make my world go round.
